Embroidery Cloth 1858
A sampler of the collection of Museum Dokkum. This branded cloth is embroidered with wool on a fixed pattern. The original size is 48 cm by 55 cm with 10 threads per cm.
Particularities: with wool embroidered like many embroidery works made after 1850. This because aniline dyes were invented and wool absorbs these colors very easy. People painted them for example purple, candy pink, billiard cloth green and many more in between colors.
